Fran Norton is an artist, writer and university lecturer specialising in drawing practice and theory. She has recently passed the viva (subject to corrections) of a practice-based PhD in which drawing is used to articulate the concept of home in the context of increasing human migration and mobility. Alongside her own art practice, Fran is an Associate Lecturer on MA Drawing at Wimbledon College of Arts, UAL and a regular Visiting Tutor on MA Fine Art and MA Illustration at the Arts University Bournemouth. Her extensive professional experience of working in creative industries includes theatre, film, photography and ten years of music management. Originally graduating in Design, Fran studied Fine Art as a postgraduate and gained distinctions on both her PgDip at Byam Shaw, Central St Martins and her MA at AUB.
